Vascular & Interventional Professionals (VIR Chicago) is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team of 13 physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers serving patients across the Chicago suburbs and into Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient daily rounding, including consultations and progress notes
- Placing routine orders, including medications, imaging, and pertinent labs
- Coordinating treatment plans with the supervising physician(s) and the broader care team
- Performing ultrasound- and fluoroscopic-guided procedures, including paracentesis, thoracentesis, central venous access, tunneled and non-tunneled hemodialysis catheter placement, port placement and removal, PICC placement, thyroid biopsy, chest tube placement, PleurX catheter placement and other.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- NCCPA or AANP/ANCC certified
- BLS and ACLS certified
- Current DEA and IL state license
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with 1:8 weekend coverage. Weekend coverage is a shifted work week, not additional days worked.

Compensation
$100,000–$110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
