Dr. Kaitlin Carrato obtained her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her General Surgery internship at MedStar Washington Hospital Center as part of the Integrated Interventional and Diagnostic Radiology (IR/DR) residency program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. She served as Chief Resident for the Interventional Radiology program. Dr. Carrato is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Society of Interventional Oncology.
Her areas of interest include interventional oncology, women’s health, uterine artery embolization, portal hypertension, interventional pain management, venous disease, among other areas of IR.
